IT LOOKS SIMPLE. IT ISN'T THAT SIMPLE.
A bracelet, from a distance, it's hard to get simpler than that.
A cord, a piece of metal, and that's it. On paper, it's a one-liner. And that's probably why you see them everywhere, at all price points, with varying degrees of success.
The problem is that there's a world of difference between a bracelet that looks good for two weeks and one you truly keep. And that world isn't always visible at first glance.
WE COULD HAVE KEPT IT SIMPLER
We could have sent a drawing to the other side of the world, waited a few weeks, received a box, and considered the job done. It's fast, it's efficient, and that's exactly how many products work today.
The issue is that it results in objects without connection, without follow-up, and above all, without much difference from the rest.
In other words: interchangeable.
THE CORD, THE FORGOTTEN HERO
In a bracelet, everyone looks at the metal. Naturally, it's what shines.
But what really does the work is the cord.
It's the one that endures tension, water, friction, days that are a little too long, and gestures that aren't always delicate. In short, it does the dirty work.
So we chose recycled cords, made from already used materials, reworked to regain true strength. Not just an "eco" promise thrown in to look good, but a material that lasts, that doesn't give up at the first snag, and that accepts normal use — meaning not always very careful.
The kind of cord usually used for applications far more demanding than a bracelet.
A PIECE OF SILVER THAT DOESN'T CHEAT
On the other side, we needed an element that could keep up.
We opted for 925 silver, because it's simply what works best over time. Not plating that wears off, not a dodgy alloy that changes color after a few weeks.
A living material that patinates and doesn't give the impression of disappearing the more you wear it.
The piece is made in France, with genuine shaping and finishing work. Not a standard object straight out of a mold and shipped as is. Every detail counts, even those you don't immediately notice.
ASSEMBLY, WHERE EVERYTHING COMES TOGETHER
Once the two elements are ready, there's a less visible but essential step: assembly.
This is where the bracelet truly takes shape. Where proportions are set, where the tension is just right, where nothing moves.
We do it in Switzerland because that's where we can monitor each piece, adjust if necessary, and avoid unpleasant surprises. Not to add a mention on a product sheet, but to maintain control over what matters.
NOTHING SPECTACULAR. JUST CONSISTENT.
France for the components. Switzerland for the assembly.
No unnecessary detours, no production on the other side of the world to save a few cents, and especially no compromises that always end up showing.
Just people who know what they're doing, at a distance that still allows for communication, adjustment, and understanding.
IN THE END
We don't claim to reinvent the bracelet.
We simply try to do things in the right order: choose durable materials, work with solid partners, and produce something you don't need to replace after three months.
It's not the fastest or cheapest solution. But it's the one that makes the most sense.
And in the end, that's often what remains.
